Early School Leaving
This research project aimed to map early school leaving in Spain and Portugal. The aim was to better understand the characteristics of the population at risk of abandonment, the factors that influence abandonment rates, the economic and social consequences of abandonment and the existing programs and opportunities to combat it. The project had a special focus on approaches based on whole child development.
The project was developed by CEPCEP in Portugal and by Fundación Europea Sociedad y Educación in Spain.
The team was composed by Joaquim Azevedo (coord.), António Oliveira, Margarida Azevedo and Rodrigo Queiroz e Melo.
